CEREC Same Day Dentistry
In a perfect world, everyone would have flawless, healthy teeth forever. Unfortunately, factors like disease and injury make this impossible. Our Dentists use cutting-edge dental technology to restore your smile.
A Dental Crown is a great option for replacing a large amount of missing tooth structure with durable porcelain material, improving the appearance of the tooth. While there are many benefits to getting a crown, the downside is usually the need for multiple visits. But not anymore!
Our dentists value your time. In the past, getting a crown required at least two appointments, often three weeks apart, with a temporary plastic crown and uncomfortable impression process in between. But things have changed! Dr. Hanset and Dr. Kelch offers same day crowns, allowing you to get your crown in just one appointment thanks to state-of-the-art technology.
What Is CEREC?
The Benefits Of CEREC?
- With CEREC technology, dental visits are now completed in a single appointment at our Pasadena, Texas office, eliminating the need for multiple visits as required in the past.
- CEREC crowns eliminate the need for plastic temporary restorations, which can be inconvenient, prone to falling off, difficult to chew on, and cause other issues associated with traditional restoration procedures.
- Our dentists have complete control over the design and fabrication of CEREC crowns, ensuring a precise fit and appearance. This is in contrast to traditional crowns made in a laboratory under the control of a technician.
- CEREC crowns are made from strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials, restoring teeth to their natural strength, function, and beauty without the use of metal. This advanced technique allows for beautiful, lifelike crowns to be created.
Describe The CEREC Procedure?
Our dentists utilize cutting-edge technology to prepare your tooth. Instead of traditional messy methods, they will use the CEREC camera to take a digital picture of your tooth, creating a 3-D virtual model using CAD/CAM technology. Your new crown will be designed on the computer and then sent to the CEREC milling unit, which will craft your crown from a block of porcelain.
You can observe the milling machine in action as it creates your new crown. Once made, the crown will be tried in for a perfect fit, then strengthened in an oven at 1500 degrees. After cooling, our dentists will cement your new crown into place. This advanced technology eliminates the need for messy impressions, temporary crowns, and multiple appointments, saving you time and making your dental visit more efficient.
